Ten years ago, I was already a photographer (specializing in newborns) when I booked a photoshoot to celebrate turning 40. I was excited and ready… but once the camera was on me, I froze. I didn’t know how to pose or relax, and I left the shoot feeling defeated.

That experience changed everything. I realized so many women feel the same way – unsure, uncomfortable, and unseen in front of the camera. I decided to change that.

I spent years studying posing, expression, and connection so I could guide women with care and help them feel confident and powerful. Now, approaching my 50s, my mission is to show women their strength and help them celebrate who they are right now, not ten pounds ago or ten years ago.

In 2024, I joined the movement to celebrate women in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s through the Fabulous 40 Over 40 project.

One of my clients, a doctor in her 60s, told me she lost a lot of hair during menopause. She noticed people had stopped looking her in the eye, and she wanted to feel beautiful again. She joined the project to celebrate the woman she is today. That’s what this is all about: real women, real strength, and being truly seen.

I had the honor of photographing 40 incredible women, each with her own powerful story. They chose to pause, put themselves first, and celebrate who they are today—and the campaign was a beautiful success.

As part of this project, a portion of the proceeds is being donated to a nonprofit that supports women with breast cancer, helping them with everyday tasks like rides to appointments, groceries, and childcare. Because lifting women up should go far beyond the photoshoot.
