ADHD, Neurodivergence, and Menopause: Why your brain feels different now, and what is actually going on

October 15 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Midlife brings a wave of confusing symptoms, but for neurodivergent women, perimenopause and menopause can feel like an entirely different storm.

The brain fog is thicker. The burnout is deeper. The coping systems that worked for decades suddenly stop working, and too many women are told it is just anxiety, just stress, or just getting older.

This event brings together three Vetted Konenki Providers, VKPs, chosen for both competence and compassion, not credentials alone, to unpack what is actually happening for ADHD, autistic, and other neurodivergent women in midlife, and what to do about it.

A physician will walk through the biology behind it: how hormones, dopamine, inflammation, and the nervous system shift focus, energy, mood, and motivation, and why so many neurodivergent women are missed, misdiagnosed, or dismissed until midlife forces the issue. A clinical herbalist will bring practical, evidence-informed tools for stress resilience, sleep, and burnout recovery. A certified life coach, who has lived her own journey through dyslexia and reinvention, will speak to the identity work of accepting a different kind of brain and building a life that actually fits it.

This is not a tidy, wrap-it-up-in-a-bow conversation. It is a candid look at why symptoms change in midlife, backed by science, grounded in lived experience, and aimed at helping you leave with something you can actually use.

Konenki providers work independently, and each brings her own lane to this conversation. There is no single right entry point, only the one that fits where you are tonight.

You Will Discover

  • Why hormonal shifts in perimenopause and menopause can make ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent traits more pronounced, not less.
  • The biology behind it: how dopamine, inflammation, sleep, and the nervous system influence focus, mood, and motivation in midlife.
  • Why so many neurodivergent women are diagnosed late, misdiagnosed, or told it is just anxiety.
  • Evidence-informed, herbal approaches to stress resilience, sleep, and burnout recovery.
  • Practical ways to build routines and self-accommodations that work with your brain, not against it.
  • How masking, identity, and acceptance shift once you understand what is actually happening in midlife.

Who This Is For

  • You have been treated for anxiety, depression, or ADD, and none of the labels ever felt like the whole story.
  • You have suspected for years that your brain works differently, and midlife symptoms are making that impossible to ignore.
  • You are burned out in a way that rest does not seem to touch.
  • The coping systems and routines that worked for decades have suddenly stopped working.
  • You are newly diagnosed, or wondering if you should be, with ADHD or autism, and are not sure what that means for this next chapter.
  • You have spent years masking, and you are ready to stop.
