Integrative Midlife Care: Nervous System, Gut Health & Emotional Wellness

October 8 @ 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm

Midlife can bring changes that are difficult to explain: you don’t feel quite like yourself, your body starts responding differently, symptoms seem connected in ways no one has helped you understand, and the strategies that once worked may suddenly stop working.

In this conversation, three Vetted Konenki Providers approach those changes from different but connected perspectives. Dr. Emma Mansour, psychologist, explores why midlife can feel emotionally different and how hormones, stress, changing roles, and the mental load can affect mood, anxiety, attention, and emotional regulation. She’ll offer a framework for recognizing when something needs to change, whether that means regulating your nervous system, carrying less, or renegotiating expectations and boundaries.

Leah Somers, holistic integrative health practitioner and nutritionist, looks at symptoms as information. She’ll explore what it can mean to “decode the body” by paying attention to nutrition, the nervous system, mind-body awareness, and kinesiology/muscle testing, and how those signals can help us see health as a connected whole.

Karyn Golgart, women’s health and menopause coach, takes us inside the relationship between the parasympathetic nervous system and the gut, including how each can influence the other and contribute to symptoms during perimenopause.

Come for the issue that sounds most familiar. You may discover connections you hadn’t considered. The conversation will conclude with live Q&A, giving you the opportunity to bring your own questions to all three providers.

You Will Discover

Why You Don’t Feel Like Yourself — And What’s Actually Happening

Midlife brings real changes to your brain, nervous system, and hormones. Understanding what’s shifting — emotionally, physically, and energetically — is the first step toward feeling grounded again.

How Your Nervous System and Gut Are Talking to Each Other

Your gut and nervous system work as a team, especially at midlife. When one is dysregulated, it affects the other. Learn why the strategies that worked at 30 don’t work at 50, and what actually helps both systems settle.

How to Listen to What Your Body Is Actually Telling You

Symptoms aren’t random. They’re signals. When you learn to decode them — through nutrition, nervous system awareness, and whole-body assessment — you can address root causes instead of just managing symptoms.

How These Pieces Work Together

Stop looking for one-size-fits-all answers. Understand how medical, emotional, nutritional, and energetic approaches work together to help you feel like yourself again.

Who This Is For

This event is for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and midlife who know something has shifted but can’t quite put their finger on what — or what to do about it.

Women asking:

  • “Why don’t I feel like myself anymore, and is that permanent?”
  • “What’s happening in my body, and who actually understands it?”
  • “How do I stop just surviving and start actually feeling good?”
