Menopause, Marriage, and Divorce: What Midlife Women Need to Understand Emotionally, Relationally, Financially, and Legally

May 5 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Many women reach a point in midlife where their relationship starts to feel different.

More conflict. Less patience. A sense of disconnection.

Thoughts about leaving that feel new, intense, or confusing.

At the same time, your body and brain are changing.

Perimenopause and menopause can affect mood, cognition, and emotional regulation in ways that directly impact how you experience your relationship.

And in that overlap—between hormonal shifts and relationship dynamics—many women begin to question their marriage.

This event is designed to help you sort through that moment with clarity.

You’ll hear from Erin Tanner, a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience, who will explain how hormonal and cognitive changes in midlife can influence mood, behavior, and relationship patterns.

You’ll also hear from Cathy Lemire, a financial coach for midlife women, who will address the financial side of relationship decisions; how money, identity, and confidence often shape what feels possible during times of change.

And for women considering separation or divorce, Molly Chung, a family law attorney and mediator with over 15 years of experience, will walk through what divorce involves from a legal and financial perspective; including key considerations before taking next steps.

This is not about telling you to stay or go.

It is about helping you understand what is happening—so you can make informed, grounded decisions.
