Sex and Intimacy in Menopause: Reclaiming Pleasure

October 29 @ 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm

Nothing happened. That’s the problem. Nothing has happened in a while.

No fight, no diagnosis, no single moment you could point to. Just months, maybe years, of sex quietly moving further down the list until it stopped feeling like a loss and started feeling like normal. In perimenopause and menopause, that shift is shaped by more than estrogen. Nervous system patterns, old relationship wounds, and years of disconnection from your own pleasure all play a role too.

This live session brings together three Vetted Konenki Providers who work with midlife women on exactly this: reclaiming pleasure, rebuilding intimacy, and understanding what is actually happening in your body and your relationships as your hormones shift.

Maureen McSwiggin, APRN, RMT, opens with the hormonal and tissue level piece of sexual health, the part your regular checkup usually skips. Mary Monaghan explores why pleasure is your own responsibility to reclaim, and how understanding your own arousal style, responsive or spontaneous, changes everything. Brynn Bishop closes with real case studies on how secure attachment work and nervous system rewiring shift longstanding disconnection into fulfilling intimacy.

This session includes a short guided embodiment practice: gentle movement, breath, and sound to help you reconnect with your body. Join from wherever you feel most comfortable, camera on or off.

Midlife health is layered, and this is one piece of that larger picture. With the right support, this stage of life can be a new beginning rather than something you are just getting through.

This is where you stop figuring it out alone.

You Will Discover

  • Why low desire in midlife is rarely just about hormones, and what else is really going on
  • How to understand your own arousal style, responsive or spontaneous, and why neither one is wrong
  • What is happening in your pelvic tissue during menopause, and why “use it or lose it” actually matters
  • How old relationship wounds and nervous system patterns can quietly shut down intimacy
  • How reclaiming your own pleasure can transform your relationship with your body and your partner
  • Real tools you can start using this week, from breathwork to reconnecting with your own desire

Who This Is For

  • You feel like your body just is not interested anymore, and you miss feeling desire
  • You have been told your low libido is “just hormones,” and that explanation has not helped
  • You feel disconnected from your own body, not only from your partner
  • You want to understand why sex feels different now, not just chalk it up to menopause
  • You are carrying old shame or wounds around intimacy that you have never fully unpacked
  • You are ready to feel more at home in your body, whether or not you have a partner right now
