Midlife can bring a confusing moment: the strategies that worked for decades stop working. Your body is responding differently. Your relationship with food, your body, and yourself might feel more complicated than it ever did.
For some women, it’s a recent shift—weight creeping on despite doing everything “right.” For others, it’s a reckoning: after years of struggling with food, stress eating, or food obsession, midlife becomes a turning point. Maybe your kids are leaving, or your life is shifting, and you’re finally asking: What am I not working on? How do I change this?
This conversation honors both. We bring together three Konenki Vetted Providers who approach this issue from different but deeply connected perspectives.
Ronni Robinson, Eating Disorder Recovery Coach, helps women recognize patterns they may have been living with for years without naming them. She understands that food obsession, compulsive eating, and the shame cycle aren’t character flaws—they’re symptoms with roots in much deeper places: childhood experiences, limiting beliefs, unprocessed emotions. Ronni shares real client stories that help women see themselves and understand what freedom actually looks like.
Joelle Chateauneuf, Nurse Practitioner & Hypnotherapist, works with the subconscious drivers behind eating behavior. She understands that “food noise”—the constant background chatter about food, control, and the body—often masks anxiety, trauma, or inherited patterns running below conscious awareness. Joelle brings both clinical expertise and transformative tools like hypnotherapy to help women address what’s really driving their relationship with food.
Claudia Taboada, The Midlife Success Mentor™, specializes in metabolic health, strength rebuilding, and stress resilience at midlife. After transforming her own health at 56, she brings practical wisdom about what’s possible when you finally address the root causes. Claudia helps women see that midlife isn’t decline—it’s a power chapter. She shows what thriving actually looks like: building muscle, reclaiming metabolism, becoming the CEO of your health and your body.
You Will Discover
- Why Your Body Responds Differently Now—And It’s Not Your Fault
Weight gain, food obsession, difficulty controlling eating, compulsive patterns—these aren’t personality flaws or lack of willpower. They’re connected to hormones, inherited patterns, emotional history, stress levels, and how your nervous system and metabolism have actually changed. Understanding why is the first step.
The Difference Between Disordered Eating and Eating Disorders—And Why It Matters
You might not have a clinical eating disorder, but if most days you find yourself thinking about food all day, eating past fullness, and using food to cope with emotions, you’re thinking about food most days, eating past fullness, or using food to cope with emotions,
What’s Really Driving Your Food Choices—And How to Address It
The food noise in your head might not be about the food at all. It’s often anxiety, inherited family patterns, childhood messaging, trauma, or a nervous system stuck in high alert. Joelle teaches you how to bring those subconscious drivers into awareness so they stop running the show.
What’s Possible When You Rebuild
Midlife doesn’t mean accepting decline. It means understanding what changed, addressing the root causes, and rebuilding from there. Claudia shows you what strength, metabolism, and reclaimed body confidence look like when you’ve done the deeper work—and how sustainable that actually is.
Who This Is For
- This event is for women navigating perimenopause and menopause who experience any of these:
- “My body changed and I can’t get it back, no matter what I try.”
- “I’ve been struggling with food for years and never knew what to call it.”
- “I’m thinking about food constantly, and I’m tired of it controlling my day.”
- “I want to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.”
- “I want to know what thriving actually feels like.”
If you’ve been stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or if you know something deeper needs to shift—this conversation is for you. You don’t need to have an eating disorder diagnosis. You don’t need a specific starting point. You just need to be ready to look at what’s actually happening and consider what might be possible.
About the Speakers
Ronni Robinson — Eating Disorder Recovery Coach
Ronni is an author, Certified Eating Disorder Recovery Coach, and founder of Recover with Ronni. She helps women recover from binge eating and compulsive overeating by addressing the patterns, beliefs, and emotions beneath the behaviors. Ronni’s approach combines professional expertise with deep personal understanding.
She understands that the constant “food noise”—the eating disorder voice in your head that keeps you thinking about food 24/7—isn’t a character flaw. It’s a signal pointing to deeper roots: childhood experiences, limiting beliefs, and unprocessed emotions. While some women try suppressants like GLP-1s to quiet the food noise, that noise returns when the medication stops because the root causes haven’t been addressed. Ronni’s work is different: she helps women understand what’s beneath the noise so they can address it at the source. Once those roots are healed, women discover what food freedom actually feels like.
She brings both clinical knowledge and the lived wisdom of recovery—helping women see that their struggle isn’t a personal failure, it’s information worth paying attention to.
Her memoir, Out of the Pantry: A Disordered Eating Journey, is an open and honest look at what it means to struggle with food and what recovery actually feels like. She wrote it to help women recognize themselves and understand that freedom is possible.
Ronni is a Vetted Konenki Provider (VKP) — rigorously vetted for both competence and compassion.
Joelle Chateauneuf, DNP, FNP-BC — Nurse Practitioner & Hypnotherapist
Joelle is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Board-Certified Hypnotherapist who works with women to address the subconscious patterns driving eating behaviors and “food noise.” She specializes in helping women who want to start a GLP-1, are on a GLP-1, or want to transition off—helping them address what’s underneath the eating struggles so they don’t just manage symptoms with medication, but actually heal.
Joelle combines clinical nursing expertise with transformative modalities including hypnotherapy and energy healing (Reiki). Her approach is grounded in a powerful insight: 93–95% of our behavior is driven by the subconscious. By bridging conscious awareness and unconscious patterns, Joelle helps women reclaim agency over their food choices and their bodies.
Joelle is a Vetted Konenki Provider (VKP) — rigorously vetted for both competence and compassion.
